Rabbi Avraham Feigelstock
Av Beis Din
Rabbi Avraham Feigelstock was born and raised in Montreal, Canada and graduated from the Rabbinical College of Canada with Smicha in Yoreh Yoreh and Yadin Yadin. He went on to study at the Central Chabad Yeshiva in New York and received his Smicha there, as well. He also received Smicha in Yoreh Yoreh and Yadin Yadin from Rabbi Piekarsky and Rabbi Hirshprung, Chief Rabbi of Montreal. Rabbi Feigelstock is a certified Shochet and mohel and an expert in the design and construction of mikvaot. He apprenticed, took shimush, at the Beis Din of Montreal under the guidance of Rabbi Hendel and Rabbi Schwei.
He moved to Vancouver in 1982 to lead a congregation. Thereafter, he established the Orthodox Rabbinical Council of British Columbia and the Beit Din, of which he is the Av Beit Din.
He also established the Kosher Check certification and the Ohel Ya’akov Community Kollel.
Rabbi Mendy
Executive Director
Rabbi Mendy has worked for Kosher Check for over 15 years, starting as a Mashgiach and working his way up. Rabbi Mendy is in charge of the Certification Department and is a rising star in the field of Kosher Supervision. With a tremendous knowledge of ingredients and food processing, he quickly puts at ease any person who may be unfamiliar with Kosher Certification. Rabbi Mendy received Semicha from Rav Mordechai Ashkenazi of Kfar Chabad and Rav Yehuda Yaroslavsky of Kiryat Malachi.
Rabbi Ari Drookman
Rabbinical Coordinator
Rabbi Drookman, moved to Vancouver with his family from Toronto in 2022. He joined the Kosher Check team in 2024, bringing with him a diverse background as a financial analyst and frontend developer.
Rabbi Drookman received his Semicha from Rabbi Dovid Schochet OBM of Toronto and Rabbi Yehuda Yaroslavsky of Kiryat Malachi.
As a Rabbinical Coordinator, he is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, handling employee and client care, sales and marketing, and system management.
Rabbi Binyamin Gordon
Rabbinical Manager
Rabbi Gordon moved to Vancouver with his family in 2018 and has been an integral part of the Kosher Check team ever since. He received his Semicha from the Rabbinical College of America and was ordained by the former Chief of Israel, Rabbi Meir Lau.
Rabbi Gordon joined Kosher Check as a Rabbinic Field Representative, responsible for performing the inspections and managing the implementation of Kosher certification at all our locally certified facilities. With years of experience and knowledge behind him, Rabbi Gordon was promoted to Rabbinical Manager and manages the inspections of all our facilities worldwide. Rabbi Gordon is also our Kashering expert and has performed thousands of Kasherings in factories, private homes and industrial kitchens.
Mrs. Inbal Mugrabi
Administrative Assistant
Inbal is the newest addition to the Kosher check team and is responsible for the administrative day to day activities of Kosher Check. Excelling in accounting, customer service and account management, Inbal works with our clients to renew and manage their Kosher Check certification.
