East Bali Cashews is a young & innovative F&B company, with a snack food & cashew nut processing factory in remote Karangasem, one of the poorest regions in Bali, Indonesia.
Founded in 2012, the company is vertically integrated combining sustainable and eco-friendly business practices with a mission of farmer improvement and women's empowerment.

EBC capitalizes on Indonesia’s abundance of wonderful agricultural produce combined with the opportunity to process cashews domestically in Bali, rather than shipping the raw product overseas for processing as is traditionally the standard. The primary expertise lies in producing unique, healthy and sustainably sourced cashew snacks for the domestic and international retail market.

In combination with a strong for-profit business mindset, EBC places particular emphasis on delivering functional & sustainable solutions to the surrounding communities’ economic, education & health challenges.

In fact, so strong is the affinity between Ceylon Cinnamon and Sri Lanka that the very botanical name of the spice – Cinnamomum zeylanicum is derived from the island’s former name, Ceylon. Strongly aromatic, sweet, pleasant, warm but hardly bitter or astringent. This is the most important spice grown in Sri Lanka. The Ivory Coast or Côte d'Ivoire is located on the West Coast of Africa. The French and Portuguese explorers of the 15th and 16th centuries divided the West Coast of Africa into five Coasts, reflecting the different economies of the regions. The Ivory Coast was aptly name the Côte d'Ivoire by the French and Costa do Marfim by the Portuguese as both mean “Ivory Coast”. This was because the major trade that had developed in the region was the export of Ivory. The Ivory Coast today produces one third of the World’s Cocoa crop and is the World’s largest exporter. It also has the largest economy in Western Africa.

Recently TAFISSA Cocoa of the Ivory Coast gained Kosher Certification through Kosher Check. TAFISSA was established over 25 years ago in San Pedro and is today one of the leading Chocolate and Cocoa manufacturers in the Ivory Coast. TAFISSA exports products around the World including throughout Africa, Europe and North America. They knew that in order to sell product around the World, they would need a Kosher Certification such as Kosher Check that was Globally Accepted.

Over the past decade the demand for Kosher Certification has increased dramatically. The Kosher market has been growing at an annual rate of 15% for the past several years and products bearing Kosher Certification continue to outsell both Organic and All Natural. Today many leading manufacturers in the Ivory Coast and throughout Africa are looking to gain Kosher Certification to assist them with opening new markets around the World. Today many uncertified companies in Africa and around the world are turning to Kosher Check to assist them in their Kosher Certification needs.

Kosher Check provides Kosher Certification to companies from Anchorage, Alaska to Buenos Aires, Argentina. From Harwich, United Kingdom to Antananarivo, Madagascar. From Mumbai India to Auckland, New Zealand.
